Scholarship Information

The Ramsey Lions sponsor a number of college scholarships. 

Each of the following schools received $3000 for awards made to Ramsey or Burns Township residents.

Elk River Area High School (Seniors planning on college)
Anoka High School (Seniors planning on college)
Anoka  Ramsey Community College
Anoka Hennepin Technical College	2001 Recipients w/Lion Bill

For high school seniors, application is made via your school.   Contact your career counselor for information.  Likewise, for the Community College and Technical College, application is made via your school.

Independent from above, there is a scholarship program for Ramsey and Burns Township residents currently enrolled in undergraduate programs at any accredited school.  Approximately 20 such scholarships were awarded in 2007.  Please obtain an application from any Ramsey Lions Club member or Bill Weiss Insurance Agency, 5926 167th Av. NW, Ramsey, Ph: 763-753-5903.  You may also download application form  (requires Adobe Reader) and print it on your own printer.  Note that an official grade transcript is required as part of the application.  The application deadline has been moved up to July 31.  Please note the awards are made at the discretion of an independent scholarship committee.
